Electronic Engineering

image I’m studying electronic engineering, so I get to play around with resistances and circuits and tiny electrical components in class.

I don’t really like electrical engineering though, so the practical classes are often quite daunting and stressful for me. All the wires, the cables, the mess! And the circuits are so damned hard to understand.

But what’s really terrible about the electronic practical classes is the roll that chance plays in deciding your success or failure. You could connect the whole circuit properly, after checking and double checking all your calculations and all the values, and yet there’s no guarantee that your circuit will function.

You never know if you’ll be able to get the correct results, all for completely random reasons: Perhaps there’s something wrong with the circuit board, maybe one of the components is faulty, could be that there’s a problem with the power source, perhaps one of the goddamn wires is broken. Maybe you’re just cursed.

It does however, tend to look quite technical and clever when you take a picture of it, so there is a plus side to it.image

Electronics: it’s not all bad.
