No class on a Monday afternoon in spring.

Current weather
Cool and sunny, 15°C
Now listening to
The sound of cars driving by, the intermittent airplane, and birds.
Last meal
Breakfast: Mi sup

It is afternoon on a Monday, and normally I’d be in class, fighting the urge to fall asleep and trying half-heartedly to understand the electronics lesson that is being unceremoniously flung at us poor students, in a foreign, strange language. But today, class doesn’t begin until 1.45 pm! It is a glorious day!

And it is spring, no less. The weather is fantastic, and it’s like new life has been breathed into everything, except the goddamn sink in my room which despite being only recently replaced, is already leaking somewhere and filling my room with a putrid stench, seemingly just to spite the season.

But it does not make today or any of these recent days any less enjoyable, because unlike the broken sink, I am renewed! Recent events have filled me with happiness and motivation, and life feels so good again. I’ve got a ton of work to get to, and I am getting to it, with astounding efficiency.

Everything is relative of course, and when I say astounding efficiency, I mean in comparison to a really lazy animal, like a sloth. But it’s a huge improvement from the winter, and I think that at this rate, come summer time, I’ll be almost productive as a Snorlax.

I’ve got a French novel to read for a book report I must do for French culture and communication class. It’s called l’Amant and it’s not really easy reading. But I plan to get it done really quickly and then get on with more interesting things, like cooking porridge and making pancakes and going to the beach.

Oh, I just had the most brilliant idea! I shall get the reading done at the beach! While eating pancakes!  See, told you I’m efficient! Hah!

I leave you with a quote I really like:

‎"Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned,
Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned,"
The Mourning Bride, William Congreve, 1697

I actually laughed out loud at the part about relativity. A sloth, indeed. (Although I have no idea what a Snorlax is...)

All the best with the reading! :D

Snorlax is a pokemon. A lazy one at that. All it does is eat and sleep.

I still haven't gotten to finishing the novel...I got sidetracked!
