Chatting with a strange stranger

Hello stranger,

I was just chatting with random people on omegle moments ago, and after several uninspired conversations, including 2 where the stranger spontaneously hurled profanity at me (in Hindi, no less), and countless encounters which started off with “I’m 24, naked and horny”, I happened to connect with this one random stranger, and proceeded to have the most interesting random dialogue ever.

All packed, but am I ready to leave?

Current location
My rented chalet-house in Bangi.
Now listening to
Yuna – current song: Permission
Void and slightly nostalgic. Also, that feeling I get whenever I’m about to leave a place for a long time..
Other activities
None. But I desperately wish there was internet. Or a companion.

I got back here last night; my brother dropped me off around 9 pm. It was so quiet and dark. The stillness was almost eerie. The realization that I was alone began to dawn on me as my brother started his car engine and backed out of the chalet compound. But I only truly realized that I was completely alone when the sound of the engine and tires against the dirt was no more to be heard.

Current location
Passenger seat of my brother’s borrowed red Gen2, driving around Damansara
Now listening to
US3 – Cantaloupe on Bernama 24 (93.9 fm)
Other activities
Discussing philosophy and other profound things with my brother while trying to sound intellectual and fascinating

Hello there,
Today, I discovered that I have several relatives scattered all over Semenanjung Malaysia. I also ate so many doughnuts that I nearly split my pants, but that’s beside the point.
It’s remarkable how when you walk into a distant relative’s house, they treat you so well, even if they’ve never met or even heard of you before. I experienced this special treatment firsthand today when I went to meet some relatives from my mother’s side of the family. It all started with an email my mother sent to me, as well as a few phone calls she made to some relatives.

Current location
Lying on a couch in my brother’s apartment, laptop on my ever expanding tummy
Now listening to
The torrential downpour which began moments ago
Last meal
Special chicken burger with cheese that I’m pretty sure must have been expired and perhaps even mouldy
Other activities
None, but I wish I was watching monkeys fly kites.

Greetings, people.
I was going to title this post “Time” or something similar, but I realize that that must be the single most overused and uninspired title in all the blogosphere. That, along with “random post” and “untitled”. OMG I said blogosphere.
I just realized that this is not the best position for typing. I also realized that it’s already Thursday! It’s already the 22nd and I haven’t prepared at all to leave for France. It’s all beginning to seem like a stealthy monster lurking in the shadows and creeping up to me, ready to pounce on me when I’m just too overwhelmed with things I was supposed to have already done. I think the monster has a name. It’s procrastination. And it looks something like this:

A surprise visit

I know realize I have sparkling rainbow dust all over my blog, for the keepers of glorious blogs have blessed me with the presence of a most astounding follower!
I shall spread my wings and catch the falling stars. Now my rainbow glows and glitters more brightly. Oh thank you so much for the wonderful sparkling rainbow dust

Transport and travelling

Current location
On the bus, heading from Melaka to Seremban
Now listening to
Rindu serindu-rindunya being played on the radio, loud enough to drown out the roaring engine and the sound of tyres against the road
Tired. Impatient to get back to Palm Springs, Kota Damansra
Other activities

I’m in the bus right now, heading to Seremban, it’s not full, so I got to sit in one of those single seats – the one that doesn’t have a seat beside it. It’s quite comfortable really, more comfortable than the cabin of an airplane. I imagine this is something like the business class in the commercial flights.
And now my thoughts trail off to the flight to Paris (which was supposed to be on the 19th, but was postponed to the 4th of May). I dread even the thought of spending more than 10 hours in an economy class flight overseas. The seats are really not spacious, and it’s really not comfortable. On long flights especially, I can imagine that your legs would get quite tired – if not cramped – sitting down with so little room to stretch for such a long time. I am really looking forward to exploring the Dubai airport though! I like airports, and I hear that the Dubai one is big. I hear it’s a piece of art.

Meeting the Kind Stranger Again

I was making my way from Bangi to Kota Damansara today, using public transport, and when I was at KL Sentral, I decided to see if Miss Manjit was there, to pay her a visit. I've looked out for her each time I've been to KL Sentral, but I only met her once after that first time, and even then it was a very brief encounter.

This time she was there, and she recognized me right away when I walked up to her and smiled.  It was so pleasant to meet her again; she's just such a nice and warm person that I couldn't help but smile the whole time.
